Our role is to conduct commercial negotiations, conclude appropriate contracts, develop and implement category strategies for direct and indirect materials. The category strategy requires an in-depth look at all aspects of the supplier’s business area. It will enable us to become real experts. For example, supplier financial health, location within its own industry, SWOT situation, knowledge of technology and product roadmaps, and trends in the category itself. This provides a good starting point for commercial negotiations.
